Learn how to fuel your body properly to maximise your Health
As a food-based nutrition preventative health scientist, I’ve found that most people don’t understand how food affects their health and aging from the gut outward.
Most individuals don’t understand what they need to do to get the right nutrition for them to fuel their bodies. Over time, eating the wrong fuel eventually can lead to chronic health conditions. Eating healthy does not have to mean steamed vegetable, brown rice and grilled chicken or protein powders. It is possible to eat a nutritionally balanced, flavoursome dietary intake - whether it be plant-exclusive or omnivorous.
To do this you really need to look at three key areas:
You need an honest look at your diet to see the quality and composition of fuel you’re putting into your body
You need to look at your blood to see what your digestive track has absorbed from your food
And you need to get a deeper understanding of food structures, digestion and nutrient delivery for your body.
That’s why I’ve developed The 3-step personalised dietary assessment process. This includes the following:
Completing a detailed health assessment questionnaire to get an understanding of your health.
Undertaking a range of blood tests to review key biochemistry levels in up to 25 areas.
You'll complete a range of dietary assessments including
a 7-day food & lifestyle diary using a specialised dietary assessment app recording the food you eat, the time of day you eat, how you felt physically and emotionally, any physical activity, work hours, sleep times, recreation and hobbies
a Food Diversity Chart that will provide an understanding of your food preferences.
Optional extra: Gut Microbiome assessment using the Microba Kits, if deemed needed.
We’ll complete a detailed assessment of your Food Diary and Diversity Chart against our nutritional database, and compare the composition of your dietary intake vs what is in your blood tests to see what is coming out of your digestive system and being absorbed into your blood, becoming available for use by the body.
We’ll report on what your current health status is in relation to your current dietary quality, gut health status, emotional wellbeing and physical activity movement and provide recommendations to the ideal dietary intake and health status for you based on current scientific research. We’ll give you a forecast how your health will evolve if you continue with your current dietary habits.
We’ll then make recommendations on how you can improve your health and how to meet your specific targets and provide you with a healthy diet and lifestyle strategy that meets your personal cultural and lifestyle requirements.
This is all provided in a detailed written report which we go through with you and that you can refer to.
